MAINTENANCE
CHAMPS Maintenance module is a fully integrated system covering the essential
aspects of Maintenance. The five principal components are:
- Asset Management
- Workforce Management
- Work Order
- Preventative Maintenance
- Bill of Material
Asset Management:
This component provides cradle to grave tracking and analysis of asset
information including, comprehensive boilerplate and specification data,
asset location history, complete asset maintenance history, downtime and
equipment failure statistics and analysis manufacturer warranties notification,
maintenance service agreements, and asset performance analysis.
Workforce Management:
CHAMPS Work Force management system is a flexible and fully integrated
solution for work planning and time reporting. CHAMPS provides the ability
to accurately capture how time is expended in order to assess how well
the organization is functioning. Important information contained within
this component includes: all vital personal information, job related information
— past and present, availability, training and certification data,
time and attendance information, along with detailed accident information.
Work Order:
The Work Order component provides the ability to identify, describe, and
classify problems while initiating work requests. Work requests may be
generated for any type of work required including service, emergency repairs,
quick work, projects, standing work, dispatch work, etc.
Once a work request has been generated, the work order component provides
planned work review capability and duplicate work request detection. Engineering
change notice control may be applied during the work planning process.
Equipment data may also be analyzed prior to work package development.
When the review is complete, work package development is executed.
CHAMPS provides the ability to perform departmental approval routing in
order to review estimated costs. Work order scheduling functions may also
be performed from the work order component or may be imported from an
integrated scheduling system. When the work is complete, CHAMPS provides
the ability to compare estimated and actual costs; identify and analyze
repair information along with lessons learned; update costs and post all
related labor and material information; and archive historical equipment
repair information.
Preventive
Maintenance:
CHAMPS Preventive Maintenance component provides the ability to develop
work packages and establish approval routing for work planners. A list
of equipment to be worked on or inspected may be defined. The system establishes
preventive maintenance performance frequencies including: seasonal, specific
calendar dates, high/low performance values, consideration for outages
and plant down days and weekends. Multiple preventive maintenance performance
triggers may also be defined. This allows the maintenance organization
to fine tune preventive maintenance tasks by analyzing task performance.
The system also provides extensive forecasting information including dates
needed, labor requirements, material, tools, etc.
Bill of Material:
CHAMPS Bill of Material component provides the ability to create Bills
of Material that may be associated to a specific asset or shared by many.
Assets identified by specific make/model may be associated to a specific
make/model Bill of Material. Inventory pick lists may be generated directly
from the Bill of Materials window. This component also allows a Bill of
Material to be related to asset PMs that will automatically generate a
Pick List for parts required on a PM. For service related work not associated
to any particular asset a Job Part Kit may be created. To eliminate excessive
data entry, CHAMPS Bill of Material provides users the ability to model
existing Bills of Material. Important documents and drawings may be easily
attached to any Bill of Material or line item within this component.
